Anchorsholme Primary School in 1967 and is in a pleasant residential area to the north of Blackpool. The school caters for children between the ages of four and eleven years and there are currently approximately 620 pupils on roll. The teaching areas have been so arranged that the infant and junior departments are integrated yet are still able to maintain their own special identity within a modern primary school. A purpose built early years unit, housing three classrooms, was built in 1999 and a five-classroom KS2 extension was completed in October 2001.
